Advisory Groups …

We have a place for you in our community.

Like many in the not-for-profit sector ASAN AUNZ is predominantly run and supported by volunteers; volunteers committed to systemic advocacy. This advocacy works to support all Autistic people towards active citizenship, and making meaningful contributions in their community.

If you are an Autistic member of ASAN AUNZ and would like to be more involved, we have a place for you! We have outlined how you can be involved, as can be seen below. We look forward to your contribution.

ADVISORY GROUPS

ASAN AUNZ’s work is guided by autistic people with lived experience, professional expertise, families and strong community connections.

Our advisory group members contribute to strategy, project design, advocacy advice, and accountability. Their input helps ensure our work is neuro‑affirming, ethical, and grounded in community priorities.

Typically, each advisory group comprises 7-10 members, including ASAN AUNZ Board Members and ASAN AUNZ Autistic Members.

Members are selected through an Expression of Interest process and shortlisted to ensure groups provide a diverse range of autistic perspectives, appropriate for that group.

Group members receive an honorarium for their contribution.

Some members choose to have public profiles, while others prefer to contribute privately. We respect both.

Details of current and past advisory groups are below.

We will be expanding our advisory groups soon, so please express your interest now.
