ASAN AUNZ NEWS

leadership update and
new opportunities at asan aunz

ASAN AUNZ is pleased to share a leadership update and invite our community to be part of the amazing things that are coming next.

Alexandra Bignell has been appointed Chair of the ASAN AUNZ Board, following her time as Governance and Strategy Officer and Deputy Chair. Alexandra brings deep commitment to autistic‑led advocacy, lived experience leadership, and strong governance.

Cheryl Koch has stepped into the role of ASAN AUNZ’s General Manager, after serving as Chair, and previously Secretary and Risk Officer. Cheryl will now lead day‑to‑day operations, partnerships, and delivery as ASAN AUNZ enters a period of growth and new project activity.

This change supports our focus on strong governance, sustainable delivery, and creating meaningful opportunities for autistic people across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
