Rachel Fletcher

Access and Inclusion Lead
She/They

Rachel is an Autistic and ADHD speech pathologist with experience across clinical practice, education, research and advocacy. She has worked with neurodivergent people across the lifespan, and has a particular interest in neurodivergent-affirming practice, communication access, self-advocacy and creating environments that better accommodate different ways of communicating, thinking and participating. Alongside their role at ASAN AUNZ, Rachel runs a private speech pathology practice supporting neurodivergent adolescents and adults.

Rachel came to understand their own neurodivergence in adulthood, and this experience has shaped both her professional practice and her interest in accessibility and inclusion. She is passionate about moving beyond approaches that expect Autistic people to adapt to inaccessible systems and instead working collaboratively to identify and reduce the barriers that prevent people from participating on their own terms. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, creative projects and hanging out with her cat, Reggie.
