NOTICE OF 2026 Annual General Meeting
The Autistic Self Advocacy Network of Australia and New Zealand is holding its 2026 annual general meeting (AGM) on Sunday 6 December 2026.
If you are interested in Autistic self-advocacy, we invite you to attend; this is an opportunity to meet other members, learn what we are doing, and elect board members.
To vote, you need to be an Autistic member of ASAN AUNZ. We’d love to welcome you to our community.

What time is the AGM?
The AGM on Sunday 6 December 2026 will be held at 2pm South Australia time. The table below show the start time in each Australian and New Zealand time zone.

We recommend logging in to the event 5 minutes before the start time to ensure you have time to address any technology issues.
Purpose
The purpose of the meeting is to be the annual general meeting and for members to vote on the election of board members.

Nomination to the board
There are 5 vacancies on the ASAN AUNZ board, with 2 of these vacancies to be filled by election of nominees at the AGM.
Nominations are sought from ASAN AUNZ Autistic members who are interested in self advocacy are able to nominate to join the volunteer board members until midnight Sunday 22nd November 2026.
Questions on Notice
Registered attendees are invited to submit any questions on notice in advance of the meeting.
Questions will also able to be submitted during the meeting.
Please note that questions may be combined with similar questions to answer multiple questions together.
While ASAN AUNZ will endeavour to answer as many questions in the meeting as possible, not all questions may be able to be answered in the timeframe, or may require investigation. If that occurs, ASAN AUNZ will provide a response as soon as possible after the meeting.

We will host the meeting as a webinar using Microsoft Teams. This allows for:
- Auto-captions
- Presentations (with ability to zoom in on the screen)
- Voting online
- Reactions, raised hands, chat and Q&A
- Ability to submit questions prior to the meeting.
- The meeting will start with microphones off to reduce noise
- Attendees can choose whether to have their camera on or off
