Lachlan Mackay

Lachlan is passionate about supporting ASAN AUNZ’s advocacy work. He identifies as Autistic and has spent 20 years educating, campaigning and advocating.
Lachlan has served on the national board of Autism New Zealand twice. He has chaired an advisory group with a national training organisation, trained mental health and disability support workers in New Zealand, and personally mentored, supported and advocated for Autistics and their families.
Lachlan is currently a support worker in Melbourne, Australia, specialising in supporting Autistics. He is also a new member of the Disability Advisory Committee with the Brimbank City Council in West Melbourne.
Lachlan has skills in co-design, advocacy, social media planning, events management, working with vulnerable people, minute-taking and policy review.
Lachlan has dedicated his adult life to improving the lives of Autistics and their families/whanau, and continues to do this through ASAN AUNZ.
