ASAN AUNZ Writers Series Author - Josephine Moon

Josephine Moon

she/Her

Josephine Moon (Jo) is a bestselling Australian and international author of adult and children’s fiction. She wrote Australia’s first general fiction novel by an openly neurodivergent female author with an openly ND female lead and a full ND supporting cast.

Her joyous, inclusive children’s series (Millie and Stella, Best Friends Forever), is also the first of its kind in Australia, presenting alternating viewpoints from best friends, Mille (neurodivergent) and Stella (neurotypical).

Jo’s lifelong special interests are animals (with an extra focus on horses), books, reading, writing and kindness. Her current special interests include graphic design, teaching and coaching emerging writers, bamboo clothing and happy dog videos.

Through all her writing efforts, Jo focuses on themes of kindness, restoration, community, connection, joy and celebration, even when (especially, when) we must journey through dark and hazardous times in life.
