She/Her

Hi, I am a warm and caring furmother of two rescue cats, with a sense of humour–yes all of us!  I am an experienced grief counsellor, mentor, facilitator, nurse and adult educator.

I was diagnosed Autistic in 2019, and sadly experienced domestic and sexual violence in my youth due to not knowing or understanding social situations by being neurodivergent. My special interest is lifelong learning! My Doctor of Creative Arts explored the intergenerational transference of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and family violence. I now promote the use of creative writing and art to create a voice for the voicelessness of trauma and neurodivergence, and to generate healing, recovery and post-traumatic growth.

Currently, I hold several senior lived experience consultancy, advisory, education and research roles with national, state and regional suicide prevention and mental health organisations. I advocate for policy change and service improvements to generate compassion and kindness through promoting a greater understanding of Autism and neurodivergence.
