Dean is the digital delivery officer for ASAN AUNZ, overseeing digital content creation and managing internal and external digital communication channels. Dean graduated with a bachelor of film production in 2017 and has since been accumulating experience in the marketing and communications spaces.
After his autism diagnosis at 29, Dean became invested in the neurodiversity movement and its connection to mental health. He sought guidance from a neurodivergent career coach to reassess his career path and identify a new way forward – one where he could make a positive and impactful difference.
Dean first joined ASAN AUNZ as a member in 2025 and jumped at the opportunity to support the organisation in a more professional capacity in 2026. With autism often still so misunderstood, Dean values ASAN AUNZ as an informed voice speaking directly to those who make an impact.
In addition to his work at ASAN AUNZ, Dean is currently studying a certificate IV in youth work, works part-time as a lived experience peer worker at Neami National, and volunteers at Happy Paws, Happy Hearts. In his free time, Dean enjoys working on his science fiction novel series.
